WHO ARE THE VETERANS
OF LOG BASE SEITZ?
We represent veterans from across the United States that have experienced traumatic and life-altering events during the Iraq war.
The 1544th Transportation Company was assigned to Log Base Seitz to escort mail and supplies along some of Iraq’s most deadly routes. The unit is bonded over the loss of 5 soldiers and 28 Purple Heart recipients during a year-long tour on one of the most heavily mortared bases in Iraq. The unit was comprised mostly of soldiers from central Illinois and more than half were college students. Veterans of Log Base Seitz (VLBS) is committed to offer impacted service men and women much-needed support in the form of physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic resources throughout the year.
